Is there a curious youngster in your life who's ready for their first introduction to weaving? Do you want to try a new skill and share a new experience together? Come try tape weaving!

Kids and their accompanying adult will learn how to create narrow woven bands called tape in this afternoon workshop. We'll choose from a variety of colored cotton yarns, measure our warp, thread our rigid heddle style tape looms, and weave a length of striped or checked tape. For young people who get hooked, looms and yarns will be available to purchase and take home for continued exploration into the world of weaving.

This workshop runs from 1:00pm–4:00pm and is recommended for children eight and up accompanied by an adult (this is not a drop-off program). No previous experience is necessary. Workshop materials are included in the registration fee.
