Textiles for the floor provide welcome cushion, color, and warmth for our homes. In this round robin style class, students will have the opportunity to weave a piece of:
 
Warp faced wool stripe (“Venetian”) carpet
Rag or “list” carpet (rag rug)
Woven pile carpet
“Plain Block Carpet” (block damask/turned twill)
Double cloth block carpet
 
Looms will be warped ahead of time and students will have one day to weave their piece on each of the looms.
 
Instruction will take place 9:30 a.m – 4:30 p.m. each day, and students will have additional access to the workshop throughout the week to complete their projects.
 
Materials will be billed by weight.
 
Prerequisite: Some prior weaving experience is strongly recommended, but no previous class is required.
