In this all levels willow basketry class we will focus primarily on round work. The techniques we will cover are from the European tradition which include pairing, waling, randing, and borders. Advanced students can reach out directly to the instructor for additional project ideas.
 
All tools and materials will be provided. In the class you will use a beautiful and colorful section of willow grown at Sandra's farm in New York. Additional topics will include how to grow, harvest and prepare your own willow for basketry. Good hand strength is recommended for this course.
